The Invitation to our regular weekly, relaxed 30+ minute, group mentorship virtual meetings led by an Aspire UCS Angel is an important key aspect for your learning and our mentorship programme.
You will have the opportunity to raise any problems you come across with a member of the Aspire UCS team in an informal and engaging manner. We will answer your questions and provide you the rationale for our answers and any helpful anecdotes to endorse them. Our belief is that by sharing any annoying issues, niggles and problems with us as you encounter them, your transition from ultrasound novice to nerd will be a much smoother and faster journey.
The more you participate, the better the group can work for you!
We will structure the first half of our weekly hour-long group meetings to have a theme, whether that be one of the ultrasound controls we focus on or one of the 8-steps in the abdominal ultrasound survey we discuss.
The theme or focal topic for discussion will be sent to you in advance, included within the Zoom invite message. You will then have a chance to think about what may be an issue or relevant to you regarding this topic. The sessions will be relaxed and informal as this is by far, the best way to learn.
Generally we record the meeting sessions as these can be used as learning material for future cohorts.
All participants MUST respect the opinions of others during the group discussions, be kind and considerate and above all recognise that these meetings are a designated ‘safe space’ for open discussion.
